Grades K, 1 and 2 Organize Food Drive

Students have been exploring the theme of Service for the past few weeks in their STEAMS Blocks. STEAMS stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math and Service. Students work in mixed age groups (K, 1 and 2 work together; 3, 4 & 5; and 6, 7 & 8) and do hands-on projects that are connected to the different STEAMS areas. The School's youngest students came up with the idea of a food drive during the holiday season, created posters and collection boxes, and made announcements at all-school sharing. They will donate the food to the Bread and Roses Soup Kitchen in Franklin.
