Olympian Kris Freeman '99 Presents to Students

Kris Freeman, a 1999 graduate of Sant Bani School, will represent the United States on the Nordic Ski Team in the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

He came to present at our all-school Morning Session the day after learning that he made the Olympic team for the fourth time. Kris shared with students and staff about how he trains and competes at a world-class level while also managing his Type 1 Diabetes. He is one of only a few athletes with the disease to have ever competed in the Olympics, and the only one to compete in an endurance event.

Kris fielded questions from teachers and students in Kindergarten - High School, and was presented with a gold medal and Sant Bani School sweatshirt by Head of School, Kent Bicknell.
